Verse SYV (19.30) gives a procedure to attain
the Truth beginning with self-dedication, vrata.
Vrata is often translated as austerities like fasting. Correct
translation is, 'law of workings'. Every one has to act according
to his inner law, the law of workings. Here it is rendered as
(self-dedication).
"By self-dedication (vrata) one becomes consecrated or
initiated (dīkşha);
by consecration one obtains grace (dakşhiņa),
by grace, faith and
by faith, Truth is obtained." SYV (19.30)
vrata: law of workings
