praņavasya ŗşhiĥ brahmā devī gāyatrī chhandaĥ paramātmā devatā

Brahmā is the rişhi of praņava

Goddess gāyatrī is the metre.

The deity or devatā is the Supreme soul or paramātma.

 

bhūrādi sapta vyāhŗtīnām atri bhŗgu kutsa vasişhţha gautama kāshyapāngirasa ŗşhayaĥ

For the seven planes bhuĥ etc, the rişhis are Atri, Bhŗgu, Kutsa, Vasişhţha, Gautama, Kāshyapa, Āngirasa.

 

gāyatrī ushņik anuşhţupbŗhatī panktī tŗşhţup jagatyaĥ chhandāmsi

The metres are: gāayatrī, ushņik, anuşhţup, bŗhati, panktī, tŗşhţup, jagatī.

 

agni vāyu arka vāgīsha varuņa indra vishvedevā devatāĥ

The deities are: Agni, Vāyu, Arka, Vāgīsha, Varuņa, Indra, and the All-gods.
