The
sages of the Vedas had an integrated and pragmatic attitude
towards the pursuit of the supreme goals of the spiritual life and
the demands of everyday life. Unlike some of the later books, the
Vedic books do not exhort everyone to take up sanyās or cessation
from common daily professional activities for seriously pursuing a
spiritual life. In this context,
SAKSI carries out a variety of activities which help in building
and harmonizing all aspects of our life.
The following are some of the activities of SAKSI:

Sastsang on Veda & Scriptures
SAKSI conducts regular classes to impart knowledge for leading a
happy, harmonious, creative and beautiful life. We regularly
conduct classes on Veda, Scriptures and Sri Aurobindo’s teachings.
Our classes are all inclusive irrespective of caste, creed, sex
and age.
Persons attending these satsangs have realized the relevance of
Veda in |
 |
the modern context and the importance of attaching spiritual
meaning to mantras from the point of view of progress in personal
life.

Nature Study SAKSI has also taken
interest in researching the beneficial role of trees and flowers
in our life in collaboration with ‘Auro Veda’ an organisation
experimenting in horticulture.
‘Auro Veda’ is 30 k. m. from Bangalore city where the concept of
Brahat Panchavati is blossoming. Here trees are planted in several
concentric ovals, the inner most oval having five famous trees
like alla, arali, sita ashoka, nelli, bilva.
Persons communing with the trees in the Panchavati are enveloped
by a sense of peace and joy.

The institute has a meditation hall wherein we have the divine
presence of Sri Aurobindo through his relics.
