Our publications draw inspiration from the great spiritual savants
and scholars, Śri
Arobindo (1872-1950), Śri
Kapāli Śāstry
(1886-1953) and Śri Madhav
Paņdit
(1918-1993). Their well-mown books
emphasize the need for harmonizing both the spiritual and
'worldly' aspects of our life. We have to take seriously the
notion 'All is Brāhmaņ'.
We should become conscious of every act or thought in us so that
we can indeed lead a beautiful and harmonious life. We envision three types of readers of our
books, The first group consists of those who complain that
the, "Hindu scriptures deal only with moksha or
other-worldly matters and have little to say on the problems of
everyday life"; the call, 'give up desire completely' is
impracticable and it dampens any enthusiasm for work or for
reading these books. Our reply is that the Hindu scriptures are
both numerous and voluminous, the Rig Veda Sahmitā
having more than 10,500 verses. The traditional commentaries
emphasize only a small number of verses in these books focusing on
the so called moksha or the liberation from the pain or
bondages in life. We focus here on the numerous verses which focus
on leading a well-balanced and beautiful life. These most useful
aspects have been ignored in most traditional commentaries.
The second group consists of those who
are full of curiosity about the ancient Hindu books. They have
heard about the sacred books being mentioned in the popular books
printed or authored in the West, in glowing terms especially those
dealing with health or relaxation. They are eager to read about
these topics stripped of their exaggerations common in the Western
Press.
The third group consists of the serious
aspirants of yoga who want to know deeply about these ancient
books, but do not know the Sanskrit language.
We have published number of books in both
Kannada and English under 'Creative Life Series'. These books give
the highlights of the Vedas, Upanishads and Gitā
needed by everyone for leading a creative and happy life.
